What Does "Available in India" Actually Mean for a Yono Game App?

Checklist graphic explaining what available in India means for a Yono game app

Short answer: on All Yono India, a Yono game app counts as "available in India" only when four things have been checked on a specific date: the app serves Indian users by its own terms, it accepts an Indian (+91) phone number, it is reachable from Indian networks, and its own pages show Indian payment options. A download link that opens is not enough, and "available" never means "legal".

This article is about Yono-branded gaming apps listed in the All Yono Games directory. It is not about SBI's YONO banking app, which is a separate product from the State Bank of India. All Yono India has no connection to SBI.
18+ only. Online money games are prohibited in India under the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025, in force since 1 May 2026. Nothing in this article is permission or encouragement to play. Read the legal status guide and Responsible Gaming.

Why This Needs a Definition at All

Most sites that list Yono-branded apps treat availability as obvious: if the download page loads, the app is "available". That skips the questions Indian users actually care about. Can I register with my number? Is the app blocked on my network? Does it even say it serves India? A working link answers none of those. Our separate article explains why a download link is not proof of availability in detail.

The Four Checks Behind "Available in India"

CheckWhat counts as evidenceWhat does not count
1. Service areaThe app's own terms or website name India as a served country, or do not exclude itA Telegram post or agent message saying "India players welcome"
2. Indian sign-upRegistration accepts a +91 number and sends an OTP, checked on a recorded dateAn old screenshot of someone else's account
3. Network accessThe site and app load on Indian mobile and broadband networks on the check dateLoading through a VPN or a mirror domain
4. Indian payment optionsThe app's own deposit page lists INR methods (see what counts as proof of UPI support)An advert that says "UPI supported"

All four must pass, each with a date, before the Availability field on a game page can move from "Not Yet Reviewed" to "Confirmed". If the checks disagree, for example sign-up works but the site is blocked on some networks, the field shows "Mixed / Unclear" with the source. The full labelling rules are in the India Guide.

What "Available in India" Does Not Mean

  • It does not mean legal. An app can be reachable from India and still be an online money game, which the Online Gaming Act, 2025 prohibits. Read India availability vs legal status.
  • It does not mean safe. Availability says nothing about fair play, data handling, or whether withdrawals are paid.
  • It does not mean recommended. All Yono India does not endorse any listed app.
  • It does not last forever. Section 14 of the Act allows the government to block online money gaming services under the IT Act, so access can change without notice. That is why every status carries a date.

Why Most Apps Show "Not Yet Reviewed"

As of 28 September 2026, no listed app has completed all four checks, so every Availability field on the site still reads "Not Yet Reviewed". That is deliberate. We would rather show an honest gap than guess. "Not Yet Reviewed" does not mean an app is unavailable; it means nobody has finished checking. See Confirmed vs Unverified vs Not Yet Reviewed for what each label means.

How to Check an App Yourself

  1. Open the app's own website, not a forwarded link, and look for terms of service or a "supported countries" section.
  2. Check whether the site loads normally on your mobile data, without a VPN.
  3. Look for an Indian payment method on the app's own payment page, not in an advert.
  4. Never share an OTP, UPI PIN, or password with anyone outside the app itself.
  5. Read the legal status guide before deciding anything.

FAQs

Does "available in India" mean a Yono game is legal in India?

No. Availability only describes whether the app serves Indian users and can be reached from India. Legal status is a separate question. Online money games are prohibited in India under the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025.

If the download link works, is the app available in India?

Not necessarily. A download link can work from anywhere. Availability also depends on the app's own service terms, Indian phone sign-up, access on Indian networks, and Indian payment options.

Why does every app say "Not Yet Reviewed" for availability?

Because no listed app has completed all four checks yet. All Yono India does not fill gaps with guesses. Not Yet Reviewed means the check has not been done, not that the app is unavailable.

Can an app's India availability change?

Yes. Apps change domains, service terms and payment options, and online money gaming services can be blocked under Section 14 of the Online Gaming Act, 2025. That is why each status carries a check date.
